Yea, binding things to MIDI is far too time consuming and difficult at
the moment. I've been trying to figure out what to do about this. :/
Anyway..
It sounds like you're just getting the range wrong. If something is
happening when you tweak the controller, then you have that set up
correctly (the controller number, which you can "Learn" from the
right-click menu)
You need to set the range on the control node to be appropriate for the
delay plugin. It sounds like you have a really short delay time, which
will give a filter-like effect (especially with feedback delay lines)
I believe the default for the MIDI control node is 0..1. If the delay
plugin uses milliseconds for it's time unit, that's a pretty short
delay!
Try making the range, 300..1000 or something.
Any ideas about making MIDI "binding" simpler are welcome..
