(cough) There was a time when I swear I hear you talking about it
doing everything star-merge does but better. I think I recall you
trying to convince _me_ of that at one point or other. :-)
Doesn't matter (and undoubtedly my memory is unreliable in the details
about that). --skip-present is a good tool in a good toolkit and this
entire particular snafu has been entirely beneficial in terms of
identifying a very subtle issue that I, at least, had't thought about
before. The _only_ downside is that some people got confused by
running `replay' against the pre4 release (and then figured out
themselves how to work around that -- hardly much of a lossage.)
Overall, it's a neat discovery.
