Be sure to update the limits in format.def for A and AHEX
formats, then. These should be written in terms of MAX_STRING,
but aren't.
Done that for the A format. I hadn't considered the AHEX format.
Perhaps I'll leave that at 510 bytes max, until at least I get a
chance to see how spss behaves with long AHEX formats.
I suspect that there might be other instances of
hard-coded limits around, too.
Indeed, there were many. I think I've fixed them all.
