[rdiff-backup-users] rdiff won't exclude files

Hi guys,

I tried to remove the current mirror dirs in my rdiff-backup-data but
then rdiff complained about not being able to find these, and suggested
that I delete the entire rdiff-backup-data dir, which I then did.

Now I'm trying to run it again like this (the --force is because there's
no rdiff-backup-data dir yet):

/usr/bin/nice /usr/bin/rdiff-backup --force --exclude-device-files
--exclude-other-filesystems --exclude-filelist /root/exclfiles.txt /
/backup/newroot

This is my exclfiles.txt:
- /etc/lilo.conf
- /etc/fstab
- /var/tmp
- /tmp
- /usr/portage/distfiles

and yet I get this message:

OSError: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted: '/backup/newroot/etc/fstab'
Exception exceptions.TypeError: "'NoneType' object is not callable" in
<bound method GzipFile.__del__ of <gzip open file
'/backup/newroot/rdiff-backup-data/error_log.2003-10-07T09:30:03+02:00.data.gz',
mode 'wb' at 0x81b5530 0x81b0e64>> ignored
c3po FormExpress #

which clearly means it's trying to write to my etc/fstab - although it
shouldn't :(

What am I doing wrong? (btw. I made the files I didn't want overwritten,
immutable - that's why it's dying ;)

Thank you in advance.
