Hi rdiff-backup-users,
I told you last month I had a backup failure.
now I know from where it comes : my backup disc has an hardware failure
with bad blocks.
The backup failled on one file. If I try to read this file on the backup
disc I get :
[root]# ls -l
export/lv00/SUNlocal/perl-5.6.1/lib/site_perl/5.6.1/Mail/Field/AddrList.pm
ls:
export/lv00/SUNlocal/perl-5.6.1/lib/site_perl/5.6.1/Mail/Field/AddrList.pm:
Input/output error
This is a linux ext3 partition.
I think rdiff-backup can't repair my discs :)
But I would like to ask if it were possible to detect this kind of
problem and report them - and not just die without explanation.
Philippe.
