Hi List,

I am doing something wrong perhaps, please help me if you can.

I have a webserver, running RedHat 9.0, rdiff-backup 0.12.6. Backups are
(successfully!) being sent to another Linux box (Fedora Core 1) on my LAN.

The problem is the files have the ownership change when they copy to the
destination.

Here's the command I use:

rdiff-backup /www/medfordareaaa.org/ address@hidden::/mnt/test_backup

Here's a listing of some files at /www/medfordareaaa.org/ and
mnt/test_backup

-rw-r--r--    1 medaa    medaa        3258 Mar 30 20:02 saturday.html
-rw-r--r--    1 medaa    medaa        2938 Mar 30 20:02 sunday.html
-rw-r--r--    1 medaa    medaa        3692 Mar 30 20:02 thursday.html
-rw-r--r--    1 medaa    medaa        3127 Mar 30 20:02 tuesday.html
-rw-r--r--    1 medaa    medaa        3554 Mar 30 20:02 wednesday.html

==========================

-rw-r--r--    1 backup   backup       3258 Mar 30 20:02 saturday.html
-rw-r--r--    1 backup   backup       2938 Mar 30 20:02 sunday.html
-rw-r--r--    1 backup   backup       3692 Mar 30 20:02 thursday.html
-rw-r--r--    1 backup   backup       3127 Mar 30 20:02 tuesday.html
-rw-r--r--    1 backup   backup       3554 Mar 30 20:02 wednesday.html

Is the solution simple?

Did you guess I'm kinda new at this?

Thanks,
