We were getting this error on a backup:

TypeError: utime() arg 2 must be a tuple (atime, mtime)
Exception exceptions.TypeError: "'NoneType' object is not callable" in
<bound me thod GzipFile.__del__ of <gzip open file
'/mirror/catfish/_home/rdiff-backup-dat
a/error_log.2005-01-27T12:00:02-07:00.data.gz', mode 'wb' at 0x268710
0x281918>> ignored

This appears to be a bug in python(sort of):

http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-bugs-list/2003-May/017927.html
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=105470&aid=703066&group_id=5470

The file that caused the error is :

-rw-r--r-- 1 dcn catfish 24754 Nov 29 2076 file.jpg

This is a y2038 bug in python. work around is simple.
