Hello
Is it a very bad idea to run rdiff-backup version 1.01 and 1.04
together? that is, local machine (client, Mac OS X) runs 1.04 and
remote machine (server, Solaris 10) runs 1.01 ?
I've just tried backing up the /etc directory from the remote Solaris
10 box and it's changed some directory names.
Eg,
etc/X11 has become etc/;08811
etc/X11 is a standard directory:
/etc # ls -ld X11
drwxr-xr-x 6 root other 512 May 6 16:50 X11
and:
etc/TIMEZONE has become etc/;084;073;077;069;090;079;078;069
etc/TIMEZONE is a symlink to ./default/init
Is this normal? It seems bad. Is it because of the different versions?
Thank you
Jesse
