[rdiff-backup-users] TotalDestinationSizeChange?

I'm puzzled by the meaning of "TotalDestinationSizeChange" in the session statistics. The only documentation I can find for it is in the rdiff-backup changelog, which says that it is "(total change in destination directory - mirror change + increments change)".

I started a new repository last weekend on an external drive that I store at a friend's house. Yesterday I did the second backup to that drive, and the session statistics showed a negative TotalDestinationSizeChange. What does that mean?
