Every time I use rdiff-backup to do a backup on one computer, two files are flagged with errors:

Exception 'invalid mode: rb' raised of class '<type 'exceptions.IOError'>': File "/sw/lib/python2.5/site-packages/rdiff_backup/robust.py", line 32, in check_common_error
    try: return function(*args)
File "/sw/lib/python2.5/site-packages/rdiff_backup/rpath.py", line 1032, in open
    else: return open(self.path, mode)

==================
I've looked at the permissions on these files - "ls -al" shows:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 kwh staff   0 Apr  3 18:38 Commands*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 kwh staff   0 Apr  3 18:38 Notification*

I don't see any obvious problem there. Am I missing something?

I'm running rdiff-backup 1.1.11, on OS X 10.4.10.
