Hello,
after Michael's and Marco's messages I looked around a bit and found this:
http://www.oregonlive.com/news/oregonian/steve_duin/index.ssf?/xml/story.ss
f/html_standard.xsl?/base/news/10193037769515227.xml (Microsoft puts the
squeeze on NW schools in THE ORIGONIAN)
Of interest might be this passage: "Paul Nelson, a teacher at Riverdale, and
Eric Harrison with Multnomah ESD have developed a thin-client software
called K12LTSP that runs Linux. In the last nine months, they've distributed
the software to 5,000 schools."
Is that along the lines of what Michael and the others are trying to do?
Joachim
PS:If the K12 stuff is interesting someone, with more insight than me, might
want to look at: http://www.k12ltsp.org/
