Hi,
The slinky installer is ideal for your purposes. It installs no problem
on 16 meg 486s with 200 meg hard drive. And this isn't the minimum
configuration either.
A big advantage of the slinky installer is that all the custom
configuration you want is available by editing files with the list of
packages you need. Slinky also allows for pre and post install
scripts to be run for each package. And it installs from almost any
media.
When I install on a 486 with no CD ROM I move the Red Hat iso
image to a hard drive and then mount it as the second drive on the
system. Slinky will mount the iso image and install from it. This
same hard drive can then be moved to the next system needing a
slinky install.
Thanks,
Larry
