It is a little unclear as to what problems you are having.  You have
reached the volunteers who maintain Savannah the Free(dom) Software
Forge.

The main use of Savannah is to hold the software version control for
GNU projects.  Savannah supports most popular version control systems.
They are all different.  To check out a copy of source code for a
project one must know what version control system they are using for
that project.

Find the project by searching the Savannah web user interrface.  Then
look at that specific project's "Source code" tab to see what
instructions are there for that specific project.  Some projects use
git, some subversion, some mercurial, some cvs, some other system.
Most popular version control systems are supported.  Therefore you
must look at each project individually.
