Indeed, hardcopy is not suitable

You mean like running "screen /usr/bin/whatever", and then get the
output ? In this case, you might as well use a redirect, like "screen
/usr/bin/whatever > filename.log". If you really need a screen way to do it,
I don't know how you could do
