There is not enough information to provide a full diagnosis, but perhaps
lynx is exiting and so screen closes its window.

See the `zombie' setting in `man screen' for a way to have windows stick
around after the window process exits.

You may also want to start the window with a shell command and then
start lynx from the shell.
