        please apply the patch from:

common.ml is actually shipped with the tarball but according to the
makefile it should be generated on the fily to replace __VERSION__ with
the commaversion. The code in common.src.ml does not compile (probably you
forgot to merge it back from common.ml).

It seems that i was the only one noticing it since for some (unknown yet)
reasons the common.ml unpacked on my system was not recognized by make as
already done.
