I wouldn't. That's actually quite an improvement over earlier in the week when
you were missing ~7500.

As for why your falling behind, I'd set debuglevel to something like 5 and tail
- -f db.log and recon.log and see if you are dropping connections during the key
exchange portion of recon and having to start over.

If you rebuild your database, use the most recent dump you can find. They're
generated Mon, Wed, & Fri mornings. I regularly pull all three, but I'm running
multiple servers like Jeff Johnson. Each live server has a hot backup that can
be switched into place with only a port forwarding rule change. Then there are a
couple boxes I'm doing so dev and port work on. Everyone also "talks amongst
themselves"here on the local subnet.
