Distributed VCSs also offer more alternatives. Since you're using git,
you can host a public branch on github and allow people to push there
too. You are branching anyway (getting translations via email), and
most likely you won't know how to merge languages you don't speak to.
Between email and submissions on a branch, I'd take the latter, since
it means less work for me -- just a pull away.
