Marcus,

Tried option 2, but get the same error:
address@hidden//e/Swarm-working/jheatbugs-2.1] $ jdkswarm StartHeatbugs -b
*** event raised for error: InvalidArgument
*** function: lispIn(), file: /src/Swarm/swarm/src/defobj/defobj.m, line: 306
> type `HeatbugBatchSwarm' not found*** execution terminating due to error
/src/Swarm/swarm/src/defobj/Symbol.m:173 -[Error(c) _raiseEvent:]
0 0 [sig] g:\jdk1.2.2\bin\java.exe 1010 stackdump: Dumping stack trace
 to java.exe.stackdump

I'm also guessing if I want jdkswarm to use my sdk1.3rc1, then I just need to change the regedit line to indicate the path to that home.

thanx
upton

From the command line (actually Start/Programs/Swarm/terminal), the
two canonical ways to run jheatbugs in batch mode are:

 1) javaswarm StartHeatbugs -b
This runs the included Kaffe Java runtime

or

 2) jdkswarm StartHeatbugs -b
This looks in the system registry to see if Sun JDK 1.2 is installed,
    and uses that.

What the javaswarm and jdkswarm scripts do is set up CLASSPATH and PATH
in the right way.
