I should have looked at the timestamp of that file more closely.. Goes
back to Dec 2010..!

Anyway, in the [look] stanza of weechat.conf, ‘set_title’ is now indeed
set to ‘off’ and this appears to have fixed GNU/screen's misbehaving.
