If you made
cvs -z3 -d address@hidden:/cvsroot/a2ps/ co a2ps
then it is the main branch.
otherwise, if you made
cvs -z3 -d address@hidden:/cvsroot/a2ps/ co -r a2ps-4-1x a2ps
then it is the "a2ps-4-1x" branch (do not consider x as a number).
