[pspell] libucb kills pspell

I've debugged my code such that I've found that if I include libucb in the
link, pspell will not be able to find any suitable word lists. I need
libucb for other things, so I can't remove it. Any ideas why libucb kills
it (it also kills example-cxx if it is included in the link)? Is there a
work-around?
