So what do you suggest? Do an sed job when creating the binary
distributions, cutting out the preview-latex parts at installation
time?
Rerunning makeinfo is not really an option: one of our goals in
packaging was that makeinfo would only be required after source
changes. So we should not touch the README and INSTALL in the source
tree.
