I cannot imagine anybody wanting to check out a RefTeX file from the
AUCTeX repository with a tag from the Emacs repository.

Silvain (one of the Savannah maintainers) recommended asking on
info-cvs.

Okay, gotta run.  I'm off to Heidelberg and will probably be back
again tomorrow evening.
