\addbibresource is specific to BibLaTex, isn't it?  In that case I'd
prefer having everything in biblatex.el (also with LaTeX-biblatex-*
prefix).

Yes, it's very likely that I've missed some usages.  Please go ahead to
fix them when you encounter one.
