Would there by any objection to moving the autoloads for reftex into a
another file?

The current system means that reftex.el is both source and generated.
This can break git bisect (since the build changes the source, so git
will then refuse to checkout another commit), as well as sometimes when
switching branch.

My plan would be to generate autoloads to "reftex-loaddefs.el", and then
have reftex require this. I believe this should be relatively
transparent.
