No, I think @xref{Top,,,preview-latex,The @previewlatex{} Manual} is the
right way to refer to a manual as a whole.

In general I don't think we need to discuss options of packages outside
of AUCTeX but in this case it might not hurt.  The default value nil is
not too good for latex editing.
