check missing parenthesis

Hi 

I usually use cdlatex to insert paired parenthesis (I know there are
other packages with similar functionality).

However sometimes I obtain compilation errors due to missing closing or
opening parenthesis.

So, does somebody know about a package which will scan the whole buffer,
or a region and find missing opening or closing parenthesis?
