Documentation: Improved wording regarding use of AC_OUTPUT

A minor point, but it's really configure.ac which calls AC_OUTPUT, not the
Autoconf-generated configure script.

I'd appreciate a cc: of any replies - I'm not subscribed to
autoconf-patches.
