Actually, it does. Your patch introduces an unnecessary pipe to cat on non-
Interix, so you've added to the number of fork()s that must be performed, and
would thus slow down ./configure for everyone. Not to mention that your patch
hard-codes knowledge of the platform name, which is a no-no in the autoconf
philosophy (test features, not platform names).
