I downloaded the RC version of 6, you are correct no sign of config for the tiny828. :) 

I will have a go at locating a similar config.

Not yet (not that I knew of).

The good news: give AVRDUDE 6.0 a try.  It's currently in beta, but
RC1 is already available on the mirrors.  It's very easy there to
create a new device entry in avrdude.conf, as you can now inherit from
an existing entry.  So all you have to do is finding a similar device,
and then create your new one by just overriding the name and signature.

If you're successful, submit it into the patch tracker.
