Try:
avr-nm main.elf

and watch for symbols like:
__vector_1

Are there all vectors at proper places?
Vectores (re)defined by you should be type "T".
Not defined should be type "W" and have the same address, which is de 
facto address of the __bad_interrupt symbol.
