Sorry that this is a little late - yet there is one other option. You can
use my build script to get a complete GNU tool-chain from scratch. All you
need to do is download the tar-balls and the script, then run the script,
all available from my site:

I use both Gentoo and Debian so I am aware there are pre-built packages,
however I need to tweak my tool-chain way too often so I always build from
scratch (same applies to my other embedded targets, including ARM7).
