[avrdude-dev] ISP Specification

Hi,

Does anyone know the location of the ISP specification?  In particular, I'm 
looking for a detailed description of how an ATMega8535 is programmed via an 
SP12 cable (the basic parallel port cable).  I need to know the purpose of 
the SCK, MOSI, MISO, and RESET signals and I also need to know the precise 
data that flows between the PC and the microcontroller.  Pointers to any 
websites or documents with such data would be a great help.
