Details:
Reading fuses, lock and calibration fails with an avr910 programmer and
avrdude 5.3.1 (Debian package 5.3.1-1).
This was working with avrdude 5.2 (Debian package 5.2-2).
The programmer used is an ICprog-AVR2.0 KANDA from http://ic-board.de (an
AVR910 compatible USB programmer).
The microcontrollers used are AT90S8535 and ATmega8535.
Error from avrdude:
avrdude: Device signature = 0x1e9308
avrdude: safemode: Verify error - unable to read lfuse properly. Programmer
may not be reliable.
avrdude: safemode: To protect your AVR the programming will be aborted
and if I override safemode (-u):
avrdude: reading calibration memory:
Reading | | 0% 0.00
savr_read(): error reading address 0x0000
read operation not supported for memory "calibration"
avrdude: failed to read all of calibration memory, rc=-2
After downgrading (back to 5.2-2) everything works fine, again.
