Update of bug #26976 (project avrdude):
Status: None => Need Info

Follow-up Comment #1:
Well, there's not much help without telling us the exact
error message.
Was it:
avrdude: parallel port access not available in this configuration
avrdude: error at avrdude.conf:564: programmer type not specified
?
If so, this would indicate your avrdude.conf doesn't match
the program configuration: if configure didn't find a parallel
port on the machine, it excludes the parallel port configuration
from avrdude.conf. If you then try running avrdude against a
config file that still mentions parallel port programmers, you'll
get the above message. Unfortunately, avrdude.conf is not
generated by typing `make' but only by configure.
If it was something different, please give us an error message,
otherwise I can only close the report due to not being able
to reproduce it.
