Last night I got this error from bind. It normally means that your
filesystem doesn't support unix domain sockets - but I know that mine
does.
A bit of snooping revealed the problem. ~/.ayttm was owned by root and
was not readable/writable by the user running ayttm.
So, if anyone else experiences this problem, do this as root:
# chown -R user.group ~user/.ayttm
