Sometime Today, Subash Jeyan assembled some asciibets to say:

did you make clean before running make?  Version numbers are set in one 
place only - the configure.in file.  Each source file gets it compiled 
in when the source file is compiled.  What's likely is that some source 
files didn't get recompiled after your cvs up.
