The snarfing rule 'mail only populates the fields firstname,
lastname and mail. So in this case you should not get an extraneous
note field. But I agree that this may happen with the other rules
'us and 'eu. These rules operate in a rather heuristic way. It is
difficult to make them more fool-proofed (though suggestions are
always welcome). However, in my experience it is often easier to
delete an extraneous field or fix whatever other mistakes in a
snarfed record than entering a complete record by hand.
