I looked into that matter, and the problem was causes by
bibledit-bibletime. It still uses the system() call. However,
BibleTime
2.0 no longer depends on the kde libraries, and for that reason no
longer supports the dcop protocol. That means that communications and
synchronization with Bibledit no longer works. For that reason I just
disabled that periodic call that uses system(). It was meant for
BibleTime, and is no longer needed now. Till BibleTime opts to
implement
another communications protocol.
The new tarball, version 3.7.42 is now being uploaded to
http://download.savannah.nongnu.org/releases/bibledit/source/
It should be available within minutes. But it is being mirrored
world-wide. So I don't know, therefore, when it is going to be
available
in the mirrors.
Looking forward to your build!
Teus.

The periodic sync still uses system(), so the flashing black screens
every 60 seconds while using Bibledit are a drag. Fixing those, and
the new build will be uploaded.
