Avid DNxHD is an professional-quality open-source alternative to Apple ProRes,
implemented in ffmpeg (and VLC, mpleyer, etc.), also available as a Quicktime
Codec.

Apple ProRes will probably never be supported by ffmpeg, and unless someone
writes a Quicktime interface in Bino (which is a lot of work), I don't see it
coming soon to Bino either.
