You'll need newer version of at least font-latex.el and latex.el
because some variables where moved from font-latex.el to latex.el. As
I don't know off hand if there are other cross-file changes it would
probably be easier to install a complete snapshot from
<URL:http://theotp1.physik.uni-ulm.de/~ste/comp/emacs/auctex/snapshots/>.
I don't expect the final 11.82 release to be much different from the
current state represented in the snapshot.
