No, definitely. Otherwise Emacs would need to report: command not found.

One serious try: In dired-mode on some file

        ! which gs RET

leads to output

        /usr/local/bin/gs
        circ.texl: Command not found.

I do have my Mac OS X under control ... with all its utilities.


Is there no way to debug in more detail what preview is doing?
