AFAICS the folder name "symb-pics" (mentioned in the commentary of
tex-bar.el) is hardcoded. So as long as you don't use exactly this
name
you are out of luck.

That did the trick! However, there are certain symbols that are NOT
displayed, namely
Greek Uppercase
Log-like
AMS Greek Uppercase
AMS accents
Are the pics for these symbols missing? Also, I think the Greek
Uppercase symbols actually appear interspersed between the lowercase
ones. Any ideas/suggestions? (For what's worth, I think I don't have
this problem with xemacs running under X11, except for the AMS Greek
Uppercase.)
