Hi !
If I use
CLEANFILES = *~ .*~ \#*\# .\#* y.output
y.output seems to be never cleaned, because is it translated into
test -z "*~ .*~ *.bak #*# .# y.output" || rm -f *~ .*~ #*# .#* y.output
and everything that is after the first # seems to be taken as a comment.
So #'s should be left escaped.
$ automake --version
automake (GNU automake) 1.4
RV
--
_
