make info output is long

With the new backup/restore of Info files functionality in Automake, the
output from make info is about 20 lines, where it used to be 1.

I'm not entirely clear when or why the new functionality is useful, but
passing over that, could you combine some of the source lines?  For all
the same reasons as we discussed in regards to the compiler-running
commands.  (Which, by the way, is working out fine for me.)
