Hi,

well, ok ;): When replacing automake 1.8.5 with 1.8d (w/ autoconf 2.59
and libtool 1.5.6), this broke libtool on all (three) projects I
tried.
The error message is s.th. like this:
src/Makefile.am:22: Libtool library used but `LIBTOOL' is undefined
src/Makefile.am:22:
src/Makefile.am:22: The usual way to define `LIBTOOL' is to add
`AC_PROG_LIBTOOL'
src/Makefile.am:22: to `configure.ac' and run `aclocal' and `autoconf' again.
although AC_PROG_LIBTOOL _is_ present in configure.ac.
Seems like either I am doing s.th. blatantly wrong, or libtool support
is broken...
Is this known?
Thanks,
Stephan
