--- The "beauty" of the bash-WINCH handler was that it worked with ANY window manager or NO window manager. I'm usually running under Win logged into *nix, so replacing the window manage isn't so easy. The terminal emulator I use most often only displays the size if you enable and extra status line that displays below the terminal. I usually have everything taking up screen real-estate turned off (run w/out menu line as well). The nice thing about this emulator (besides emulating linux and most xterm screen codes), is that it runs natively on windows so it's fast, vs. any 'X' window will have a horribly longer lag time, making scrolling large files next to impossible to use (unless you use "jumpscroll", which doesn't really scroll at all, but simply deletes output when it gets behind).
