No, I think it's a botched paraphrase.

A paraphrase of what? It's a direct quote from the standard.


Issue 7 says "By default, the
jobs utility shall display the status of all stopped jobs, running
background jobs and all jobs whose status has changed and have not
been reported by the shell."

And you included it.
