Sorry - I had not really grokked that this was a problem specific to the OBS
build environment.
Based upon your comments in the opensuse ticket, this is a problem with
unaligned memory access, and possibly specific to the OBS environment running
an unoptimized version of memset. Is this right ? If so are you able to
enable profiling and find out which memset(s) are taking all the time ?
